SEA GAMES: Jalur Gemilang Fluttering At SEA Games Village

PALEMBANG, Nov 10 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian flag along with that of nine other Asean countries and Timor Leste were hoisted at a ceremony in conjunction with the 26th SEA Games here Thursday.

Malaysian chef-de-mission (Palembang) Datuk Syed Mustaffa Syed Ali and his deputy, C. Sivanandan attended the ceremony at the SEA Games Village at the Jakabaring Sports Complex.

The flag raising event was carried out in alphabetical order starting with Brunei and followed by Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, Vietnam and lastly, host Indonesia.

The Jakabaring Sports Complex accommodates over 2,000 athletes.

The Games will be launched by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Friday.
