SEA GAMES: Shooting Squad Still Waiting For Letter From Bullet Supplier

PALEMBANG, Nov 10 (Bernama) -- The national shooting squad is still waiting for a clearance letter from their bullet supplier in Germany to be able to bring their bullet stocks before the shooting competition of the 23rd SEA Games here gets underway.

"Till today, we have yet to receive their letter. In the meantime, we have purchased bullets locally for the team to train.

"They are not bullets of quality but good enough for training purposes," said the team's manager, Muzli Mustakim.

The team arrived here yesterday minus their bullet stocks because flight regulations required a clearance letter from the supplier.

According to Muzli, this is the first time such a thing happened and that the shooting squad was hoping the glitch could be resolved in time.

The shooting events will be held from Nov 12 to 16 at the Jakabaring Sports Complex here. At the last SEA Games in Laos in 2009, Malaysia won six silver and five bronze in shooting.
