SEA GAMES: Hafzanizam Strikes Bronze In Wall Climbing

PALEMBANG, Nov 12 (Bernama) -- Hafzanizam Bakhori clinched the bronze medal in his SEA Games debut in wall climbing at the Jakabaring sports complex here Saturday.

This is the first time wall climbing has been included in the biennial Games which entered its 26th edition this year.

Hafzanizam won the bronze in the boulder climbing event.

The gold was won by Indonesia's A'an Aviansyah while the silver by Singapore's Koh Zher Yeow.

"I was leading but made some mistakes in the third route. I hope to do better in the Lead event on Wednesday," said Hafzanizam, who has been active in the sport for the last 12 years.

Hosts Indonesia and the Philippines are the favourites for the wall climbing events.
