PALEMBANG: The Malaysian roller skating team will be the first contingent to fly home after ending their campaign dismally – they finished last in virtually all their events.
Yesterday, Soo Yi Wei came in seventh in the 10,000m elimination race while Foo Toon Hong was last in a field of nine competitors.
The whole team were virtually clueless against the faster Indonesian and Thailand skaters in all the 12 events.
They only won a bronze through the women’s 5,000m relay on Sunday – and that was because there were only three competing teams.
