Malaysia's SEA Games Athlete Scores Straight As In UPSR

KUALA SELANGOR, Nov 17 (Bernama) -- Nur Najiha Azman Hisham, who is part of the Malaysian contingent at the ongoing SEA Games in Indonesia, has done very well in the primary schools UPSR examination, the results of which were released Thursday.

She scored straight As (5As).

Things could not have got any better for the 12-year-old who did the nation proud by winning a bronze in the chess competition at the Games yesterday.

Her mother Zazaluma Harun, 43, said she was not surprised Nur Najiha, the third of four siblings, did so well as the the girl had been consistently doing so in her studies.

"I think her chess skills also helped as the games is good for building the mind," she said when met here.

She said Nur Najiha aimed to be a doctor and was delighted when the news was conveyed to her in Indonesia.
