KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 2 (Bernama) -- Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek expressed confidence with the ability of host Indonesia to ensure all facilities are ready before the start of the SEA Games.
Shabery said Malaysia, through the various agencies, have been monitoring the progress of the Games.
"I am always following the progress, especially the completion of venues, facilities and preparations through the media and also my friends in Indonesia," he told reporters here.
Meanwhile, Chef-de-Mission for the Malaysian contingent to the SEA Games Datuk Naim Mohamad said the number of medals targetted for the games has yet to be finalised.
"Every team manager will have their own target and if we add all together...it comes to 60 but we are still gauging the potential of every sport," he said.
He hoped athletes would perform exceptionally well to surpass their personal best or break national records in Indonesia.
