KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 8 (Bernama) -- The request by 2011 SEA Games host to sent elite cyclists for track events has come as a blessing to national rider Mohd Rizal Tisin.
Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) president Abu Samah Abd Wahab said Rizal would be listed for two events, namely the 200m Individual Sprint and BMX.
According to Abu Samah in a statement Monday said national head coach John Beasley had given the green light for Mohd Rizal to compete in both the events since the rider is among the best in Asia and has won the Keirin gold in the 2006 Asia Cycling Championships in Kuala Lumpur.
"I feel it is a good decision because Mohd Rizal is competent in both the BMX and track. He will be competing in the BMX under Category B," he said.
