SINGAPORE: Malaysia's high scoring netball squad continues to roll.
They beat Brunei 82-24 at the OCBC Arena on Wednesday to maintain their momentum to make the semi-finals as the group winner.
With the latest victory, Malaysia has three wins and a draw from four matches, scoring 313 goals and conceding 92.
The only draw was against arch rival and gold medal contender Singapore, who face Myanmar on Thursday.
"I hope we can maintain our high scoring act against Thailand tomorrow (Thursday). We need to continue performing at the highest level to remain at the top," said national coach Aminah Asaari.
Based on the round robin format of the preliminary competition, the top team will face the fourth placed team in the semi-final while the second placed team will take on the third placed team.
"I hope we can meet Singapore in the final," she added. - BERNAMA
