SEA GAMES: Sabah Exponent Contributes A Silver On Final Day Of Taekwondo

JAKARTA, Nov 16 (Bernama) -- Rusfredy Tokan Petrus of Sabah secured a silver on the final day of the taekwondo competition of the ongoing 26th SEA Games at the Taekwondo Hall in Cibubur, about 50km from here, Tuesday.

He lost to Laos' Mangkheua Sonexay 4-5 in the final of the Bantamweight below 58kg category.

Rusfredi, 30, a Royal Malaysian Navy personnel, appeared rather dissapointed in not being able to win the gold medal.

"I was confident of winning the gold. But I think I have been a victim of biased judging.

"The judge did not see me scoring a point when the score was tied 4-4 but saw the kick made by the oppponent," he told Bernama.
