SINGAPORE, June 2 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Synchronized Swimming pair
Katrina Ann Abdul Hadi/Lee Yhing Huey kept their SEA Games gold medal
hopes alive by taking the lead over the rest in the 'Duet Technical and
Free Routine' event when the preliminary round ended at the OCBC
Aquatics Centre, here Tuesday.
Katrina-Yhing Huey collected 75.3436 points to pip Singapore's Stephanie Chen-Crystal Yap/Natalie Chen-Debbie Soh who collected 73.9705 points while Natalie Chen Mei Qing/Debbie Soh Li Fei are third on 70.4160 points.
Half the points for the event come from the Duet Technical routine while another half of the points are offered in the Free Routine which is scheduled on Thursday.
"We are happy with today's performance and we hope to keep our focus in the remaining event to clinch the gold medal," said Katrina.
